Nathan Howard, MD, is a board certified family practice physician at Methodist Richardson Health Center. He specializes in preventative healthcare and geriatric medicine. Dr. Howard also enjoys helping patients manage chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. He also has an interest in treating acute common ailments, like GERD, arthritis, and upper respiratory infections.
Dr. Howard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He then received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Following medical school, Dr. Howard completed family practice residency training at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, California.
Dr. Howard grew up in Mission Viejo, Southern California, but has called North Texas home for the past year. He has been in clinical practice for over 20 years and joined Methodist Richardson Medical Center in 2025.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Howard can be found cheering on his favorite sports teams across football, basketball, and hockey. He also enjoys spending time outdoors gardening and cooking healthy meals. He is married with three children.
