About Leah Rives, HIS
Leah Rives is a licensed hearing instrument specialist specializing in diagnostic hearing evaluations. These exams include ear inspection, tympanometry (measuring ear pressure), air and bone conduction threshold testing, and word recognition evaluation. Her testing allows providers to diagnose patients with hearing disorders and helps determine the need for imaging, treatment of infections, in-ear tube placement, and hearing aid consultation.
Rives received an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in speech pathology and audiology. She then received a Hearing Instruments Specialist license in 2017 after working as a speech pathology assistant in pediatric home health.
As a North Texas native, Rives enjoys biking and spending time outdoors with family and friends. She has a dog, Miss Kitty, and a cat, Bunny, who both play important role in her life.
