About Jeffrey M. McDaniel, MD
Board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, Dr. McDaniel earned his undergraduate degree in Genetics from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School located in Houston, Texas. He completed his residency at Palmetto Health Family Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina, and completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports at The University of South Carolina in 2010. During his fellowship year, he served as a team physician for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Benedict College Tigers, and Airport High School Eagles.
Dr. McDaniel cares for all ages of patients from childhood through adulthood. He has particular interest in Diabetes care and chronic disease management. He also specializes in providing patients of all ages in non-operative sports medicine care. An expert in concussion management, he is trained in using ImPACT computerized concussion evaluation software. He currently serves as a team physician and physician director for both Mansfield and Midlothian ISD's Concussion Oversight Team and as a consultant for several area high schools.
Dr. McDaniel loves all sports, especially football and baseball, and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking and Geocaching. Dr. McDaniel’s wife works as a neonatal ICU nurse and they have three children.
