About Idania S. Hidalgo, MD
Idania Hidalgo, MD, obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, and completed her residency through Scott and White Family Medicine Residency Program, where she received the Resident of the Year Award. Certified by the American Board of Family Medical Physicians, Dr. Hidalgo brings enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to the Methodist Family Health Center team. In addition to being bilingual in both English and Spanish, Dr. Hidalgo has rich experience practicing medicine all over the world, including Kenya, Vietnam, Guatemala, and Peru, as well as her home state of Texas. Her areas of specialty are adolescent health, women’s health, geriatrics, preventative health, chronic medical conditions, and global healthcare. When she isn’t working, you can find Dr. Hidalgo running, traveling, reading, or searching for unique coins to add to her collection.
