Haley Allen, PA-C is a physician assistant specializing in gastroenterology, which focuses on the health of the bile ducts, liver, colon, rectum, esophagus, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, and stomach.
Allen was inspired to become a PA-C by her passion for science and discovering solutions to difficult problems. She has a particular interest in treating pancreatic disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and colitis.
Allen finds gastroenterology intellectually stimulating and rewarding because of its focus on multiple complex organs working together. This focus includes the gut’s role in everything from digestion and immunity to mental health and wellness. She is excited by advances in research in the field and the promise of innovative treatments.
Educating patients with gastroenterology conditions about care and treatment options is important to Allen. Her patient-centered approach considers the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. She works closely with patients so they understand all their options and become empowered to make informed decisions.
Outside of practicing medicine, Allen enjoys reading, cooking and exploring art. She stays active by playing golf, cycling, and practicing yoga.
