About Frances J. Cobb, MD
Frances Cobb, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) with Methodist Health System. She began her medical practice in Dallas in 2022 and joined Methodist Women’s Health Specialties — Richardson in 2025.
Dr. Cobb provides compassionate, full-spectrum care for women at every stage of life and considers it a privilege to support women through life’s transitions. She specializes in high-risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, and contraceptive counseling, and is passionate about helping women navigate their reproductive health.
Dr. Cobb treats conditions including menstrual issues, fibroids, pelvic pain, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and cervical dysplasia, focusing on personalized treatment. She is also skilled in both vaginal and robotic-assisted surgeries.
Dr. Cobb creates a warm, judgment-free environment where her patients feel heard and respected. While she primarily speaks English, she also speaks conversational Spanish, with support from interpreters for complex or sensitive topics. Above all, Dr. Cobb believes in empowering her patients with the knowledge and support they need to make informed health decisions.
Early personal experiences inspired Dr. Cobb’s medical career. She watched as her grandfathers played key roles in expanding healthcare access in their communities. When hospitalized for appendicitis as a child, Dr. Cobb found inspiration in the compassionate doctors who eased her fears through clear communication and inclusion. Their care sparked her passion for medicine, and these values continue to guide her practice today.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Cobb enjoys cooking, which she learned from her grandmother, and often experiments with new recipes. As a proud University of Georgia alumna, she’s also a big fan of college football. When she’s not exploring Dallas’ food scene or traveling with her family, she loves spending time with her husband, two cats, and dog.
